Professional Interaction
Please act professionally during all stages of interacting with your clients. By leaving them with a good impression they will be much more likely to want to work with you and make your project a success.
- Always prepare an agenda and questions for your meetings. Your clients are not mind readers. It is your job as an IT professional to extract the necessary information from your clients to complete your project. Identify what topics you must cover in order to provide yourself with enough information to make progress on your project.
- Send a copy of the meeting agenda to your client several days in advance of your meeting. Giving them time to review the agenda will allow them to prepare relevant information for the meeting.
- Do not be late for your meeting!
- Resources for email and telephone etiquette are available from IST's Professional Development Library.
